Working from photographs
Landscape painting has been an important and attractive subject in painting for many centuries.
This course lays the foundations. Composition, image composition, using photos for inspiration, creating lighting moods, abstracting the landscape and technical image construction are teaching content. Image templates are provided or if you prefer you can use your own templates.
The preferred techniques are oil or acrylic paints. The materials are explained, the use and selection of the coloring pages and the technical structure of the painting are shown. The course also offers the opportunity to prepare for plein air painting.

Material:
All materials are recommendations. If material is already available, please use what you are familiar with. When choosing colors, it is only important to have at least some white, yellow, red and blue.
-Oil paints or acrylic paints (artist quality):
titanium white
, light cadmium yellow
, dark cadmium yellow
, dark vermilion
, alizarin crimson (permanent madder dark),
burnt umbra
, dark ultramarine blue,
phthalo blue
-Wood or tear-off pallet
-Brush: various bristle brushes (flat or cat tongue shape) of 5mm-25mm width, synthetic, cowhide or red marten hair) 3mm-15mm, flat primer brush 50 mm
-Painting spatula 3-4 cm long, tapered
-Oil: non-odor solvent such as Shellsol in a closed container
-Acrylic: water jar and small spray bottle (to keep the paints moist)
-Painting boards or canvases in the desired size, Lascaux Studio acrylic paint 979 neutral gray light for tinting the painting surfaces
-Painting rags or paper towels
For oil paintings, please bring a way to transport the wet paintings home.

Only after receipt of Down payment of 25€ you will receive confirmation of your registration from us and your place in the booked course will be bindingly reserved for you. If the course is already fully booked, we will inform you immediately.
Cancellation: The cancellation of a course registration must be made in writing. If the cancellation is received up to 15 days before the start of the course, you will be refunded the course fee minus the deposit paid. If you cancel from the 14th day before the start of the course or if you do not show up, no refund of the course fee is possible.
The decisive time for the cancellation is its receipt by us. Alternatively, it is always possible to provide us with a substitute participant. All details are in our General terms and conditions to read.
