Character Development & Caricature
In order to develop a caricature or clearly highlight a character, the stylistic devices of distortion and exaggeration as well as a deliberately chosen design language are very tried and tested tools. Da Vinci and Michelangelo were already aware of this. The aim of this course is to capture the special characteristics of a person, their posture or movements. Basic anatomical knowledge is imparted, proportions are discussed and the abbreviations of perspective are discussed. Postures are exaggerated, the best perspective is asked for and decision-making tools are provided for targeted distortion.
Based on pictorial examples and stereotypes, your own characters are developed and theoretical knowledge is applied in practice. You are welcome to bring your own ideas or personal images and edit them.
Requirements: some basic drawing experience required
Material: drawing paper, transparent or semi-transparent sketching paper, pencils (H-2B), eraser, drawing pencils (e.g. fineliner, pen), colored pencils

Cancellation: The cancellation of a course registration must be made in writing. If the cancellation is received up to 15 days before the start of the course, you will be refunded the course fee minus the deposit paid. If you cancel from the 14th day before the start of the course or if you do not show up, no refund of the course fee is possible.
The decisive time for the cancellation is the date of receipt. Alternatively, it is always possible to organize a substitute participant. All details are in our General terms and conditions.
